Sand and Pearl

Happy to take your reservation, plan your special event, discuss a collaboration and just say, ‘hi’

1705 County Road 12 - West Lake, Prince Edward County, K0K 2T0 ON Canada

Head here after a day at the beach, freshly sunburned, with sand between your toes. Down the road from Sandbanks Provincial Park, this former diner has a party vibe that just won’t quit, between the washrooms labelled “Dudes” and “Dudettes” and a serious sound system propelled by the Clash, Bob Seger and Talking Heads. Reserve the screened-in porch for a feast of Fogo Island crab legs, buttery lobster rolls on pain au lait and Manitoulin Island trout niçoise salad that pops with pickled green beans and lemony crème fraîche. Wash them down with Parsons Hula Hoop Sour beer or a Huff Estates pinot gris. - En Route Magazine

We fell in love with Prince Edward County - like everyone does! After a weekend invite to pick grapes with friends at Domain Darius the decision to find our own spot to call home began.

1705 County Road 12, had just what we wanted! Roadside restaurant with land, trees and a potential to become anything we wanted. We took the leap and started to build our dream restaurant -Sand and Pearl Oyster Bar is the result of our efforts!

A place to eat, play and collaborate with friends - old and new. A space without limitations to express ourselves with food and the things we love! Campfires, yoga, live music, theatre, family…

Join us in the summer and fall in love too…

xx Nathan & Nicole

Fogo Island Fish —  Nicole and Newfoundlander Nathan are always excited to work with this ethical and inspiring company! Thanks 100km Foods for the introduction to Anthony’s Cobb’s great fishing company located on the northeast coast of Newfoundland. Centuries old fishing methods, sustainability and social enterprise!

The County Catch — Proudly serving local, Lake Ontario Pickerel in our Fish n’ Chips. Fisherman, processor and driver, Slieman al-Jasem delivers fresh fish to us multiple times a week and we love him and his product! The story of County Catch is incredible too - click the link to lean more.

Hubbs Creek Vineyard — Beloved Battista Calvieri was one of the first people Nathan and Nicole met in PEC. They became friends at a wine harvest dinner in 2013 and have been drinking and serving his wine every since.(when he isn’t sold out!)  If arriving in the County from the West, make a stop at Hubb’s Tasting room in Hillier and tell Battista we say, hi!

Hagermans Farms - Stopping at this beautiful farm stall in Picton is a County must. Every day is a bounty of fresh, local produce and fruit! They are part of the reason we update our veggies so frequently!

Raspberry Point Oysters - One of the most northern growers in North America, we serve this Prince Edward Island company’s beautiful oysters - Lucky Limes, Shiny Sea and raspberry Points of course.
